Robert Wilson scrapbook, 1868-1869.

One scrapbook assembled by Robert Wilson which includes various unrelated newspaper clippings as well as 28 pages of handwritten material entitled "Mormonism--Notes." The notes on Mormonism appear to be a condensation and updating of John C. Bennett's History of the Saints, published in 1843. Differences include replacing the name "Joseph Smith" with "Brigham Young" in some places. Wilson also adds his own commentaries on fanaticism and what he sees are parallels between Mormonism and other faiths.
